Installing Other Useful Software

Adobe flash-plugin

This software enables flash websites to work with the firefox webbrowser. To install this software, simply perform the following instructions:

Download the adobe-release yum repositor rpm file from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Start up a Shell (Command Prompt) and as "superuser" or "root" issue the following command:

rpm -ivh /location/of/adobe-release*.rpm

then

yum install flash-plugin

The nautilus-open-terminal extension provides a right-click "Open Terminal" option for gnome users. Very handy!

To install this software, simply execute the command:

yum install nautilus-open-terminal

This program "gkrellm" provides charts for various devices such as CPU, load, Disk, and all active net interfaces
automatically. Very handy!

To install this software, simply execute the command:

yum install gkrellm
