This document has been created to assist with fixing a couple of known bugs with the 3.2beta all-in-one-installer. Note that this has only been tested on Windows XP.
Even if you have installed 3.2beta, than reverted back to 3.1, both of these issues may still occur. Therefore, by following these simple instructions, you should have these known issues sorted out quite fast.
Unfortunately when this package was created, the incorrect version of vic was packages that doesn’t support the H.261AS codec, therefore download the attached vic.exe [you will have to rename the attached from from vic.exe_.txt to vic.exe] and copy it to the following directories.
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\AccessGrid3\local_services\
VideoConsumerServiceH264
VideoConsumerService
VideoConsumerService
VideoService
Note: where [username] is the username you installed the AG software as.
If any of these directories don’t exist, you shouldn’t have to worry about copying the executable. Note, if you don’t the track, create any type of video service that doesn’t currently exist, you may have to copy the executable for VPCScreen to work for that particular Video node service.
If your VenueVNC doesn’t work, it is suggested to following the instruction found at http://www.accessgrid.org/node/1031
